The actors of the energy development plan in Rwanda

This project has been designed and created with the cooperation of the Ministry of Energy, Water and Natural Resources (MINERENA), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the local representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Water Head Office and more particularly the officials of the MINICOM programme, and after having consulted the Kigali Institute of Sciences Technology and Management (KIST), Rwanda's certified Medical Training Office (BUFMAR ASBI), private companies (SDMO, Enerwa...), associations and local NGOs (Aramet...) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Breeding, Environment and Rural Development (MINAGRI). Thanks for their precious advice, their technical skills and their detailed knowledge of the country.

  With my grateful thanks:

To Milton for his precious advice of experience and diplomacy,

To Augustin and his colleagues, James (the Canadian), Silas and Alloys, for their enthusiasm and their energy, Immaculée for her permanent kindness,

To Patrick (the Sahib) for his knowledge of Rwanda and his support, without which nothing would have been possible,

To Jean for his enlightened advice,

To Fatim, for having taken over,

Without forgetting Ayumi for his humanism and his effective advice,

To all those I have not forgotten...

Must Rwanda's landlocked position, its size and the absence of petroleum be considered as impossibilities to its development?

Switzerland's landlocked position, Mauritius's size and the absence of petroleum in Singapore have not prevented the success of the people in these countries.

Like them, the Rwandan people, rich in history, identity, culture and determination, has the human resources necessary to make a success of its future...
