Active Networks and Experimental Active Testbed

Active networks introduce the idea of programmable and dedicated processing facilities within network components such as routers. This project experiments on active networking programming environments and services by building an active testbed. This testbed, intended to concentrate on a small and controlled scale the various difficulties found on the Internet, allows for a rapid and easy prototyping of active protocols and services.

The work is related to the Tamanoir active environment and serves for the experimentation of active reliable multicast protocols and active QoS protocols.
