Located on one end of the Cancun peninsula, the Westin Regina provides relaxed resort amenities with several pools and a private swimming beach. An excellent snorkeling area is only a short walk up the beach and buses run frequently along the beach strip of hotels, clubs, and name restaurants to Cancun proper. There, the markets & vendors offer both local Mexican goods and bargain imports, turning shopping trips into excursions and evening entertainment. The Westin Regina is located near the "bottom of the 7" and features all of the amenities that MATA 2003 attendees have come to expect at resort locations, including rooms with a view of water. The resort is a complex of several buildings which front a private beach steps away from several pool areas. Facilities & activities are family friendly and the grounds encourage small group socializing and relaxing time off from meetings. The spacious meeting areas are complemented by several dining choices as well as an on-site assortment of services including car rental, beauty & barber shop, and fitness spa, and there are tennis courts and an aquatic center.
